About the Event
In recent years, various state and non-state actors have established Conflict Early Warning and Response Systems(CEWERS) with a view to ensuring peaceful and inclusive democratic processes, as well as preventing and ensuring timely intervention in situations of crises and violence. Achieving these objectives is however dependent on an extensive understanding of the opportunities and limitations of the different monitoring sources and systems, and the ways in which they are translated into action.
This workshop brings together various researchers, practitioners, academics, ICT professionals, and policy makers to address these issues and engage in fruitful discussions towards generation of ideas that can go into drafting effective policy solutions.
